movie....called page 3
The movie is about a girl getting pregnant by a movie star. So, the whole movie is about ummm....movie stars (all-side-actors), except a here and there glimpse of some big shots. I saw the movie last night and ended up with a big headache that lasted all night long. The whole movie was a big freak show with clowns dancing here and there(this comment is about the extras that played the role of the rich and famous). I think the producer wanted to make a movie which shows the real side of actors and actresses. But, I think the director was more "influenced by bollywood-hollywood-style". The movie was supposed to be sarcastic and synical. But, it ended up being just hyper inflated like everything around us. The only "real" thing was the lady journalist who was real enough around a fake World. But, with so much over acting in the movie, just like acting by "all" the movie actors. There are just so few actors that know how to act, period.
I don't want to be all sarcastic about the movie, the part about being hit by a terrorist attack which influenced the lady journalist was emotional. For those that don’t know where the phrase “fire the bitch”, came from, it came from the all time best novel “The Fountainhead”. It was a good movie for the masses but I guess I was not impressed. I do not believe that Tata's C.E.O will be found dancing on any pubs dance floors. The man that can make money by turning the soil into steel and the water into electricity will not understand the meaning of liesure. I have been to some big "Disco Partiy" which was only by invitation. I was one of the free loaders just to see what all the frenzy is all about. But, all I see there was, kids of rich fathers who somehow found how to make enough money for their kids to be in that party, but not enough anger and frustation to beat the crap out of them when they went slightly off the designated path of culture and heritage.
I wish the dierctor was a bit more intellectual cause then the movie would have been a whole lot better but I guess that too is a rare commodity in our Indian Culture.
